That made me laugh.  At 6'3" and 205, getting out of a jeepney takes about 5 to 10 feet of clearance as I shoot/fall out.

I have only ever rode in a jeepney one time and everyone kept staring at me like "Why the hell is this Kano in here with us?".

I kinda like riding in them, other then the dust and exhaust it's cheap and gets you where you need to go. I didn't really notice people staring at me, but I'm not over 6 foot tall..maybe I blend in, haha.

I am 5'11 around 230 medium build and 34. So I see a lot of the younger women staring at me regardless over there

goes with the territory in the Philippines being a kano...would much rather have a Toyota Hilux...or a motorcycle for sure. Usually we just jumped in a taxi or called my wife's cousin who is a taxi drive (always gives us local rates).

Before when business was going good for my BIL he would lend us one of his vehicles and his driver to take us around everywhere we need to go while I am there. But now it's not so good for him so he had to sell a vehicle and only has one.

Yeah, blending in is not really an option.  Over six feet, brown/grey hair, blue eyes, and legs so white that I burn corneas.

I'm pretty much a Sesame Street song..."One of these things is not like the other..."

Finally done.

I guess I will have to just get used to the fact of driving a "scooter"...it does sound more practical. I'm pretty sure you could get a child on there to right?

yes, although when we are there permanently we will add a sidecar (removeable)

My asawa's father has a sidecar on his Honda scooter (I don't know the model but I think it's only a 125). It's great and he gets lots and lots of attention with it. I'll have to post a picture of it, it's decked out with lights, spare gas tank, horn...etc. He wins local parade/bike show entries all the time! He is handicapped so he needs it to get around.

From what I remember him telling me is that he had it ordered from somewhere in Manila where they make them. Not sure how easy it is to take off and on. Pair that with the Click 150 and it would be a great combo...I'm pretty heavy and we had no problems riding around town with my wife me and dad driving.

Thank you that's almost exactly what I was thinking, except she would insist on side car overhead rain protection and a win screen

Yeah, no problem :) If it's your main transportation it might be a good idea. They use theirs as-is.. and never seem to have issues with the weather.
