Hello everybody, new here and this is my first post. I was wondering as the petitioner applying to bring in my fiance from Colombia does having a large credit card debt affect the approval of the K1 visa. I have not defaulted on any of my cards but have racked up a substantial amount on my credit cards mostly from traveling to Colombia to see my fiance.

Thanks in advance.

You’re not applying for a loan, credit card debt doesn’t affect K1 application, just make sure your AOS is good to go.

They look at income and not expenses...  If a large CC debt would impact, most Americans would be screwed

YMMV

But the I-134 asks for Mortgage and other debt.  Do we not disclose CC debt? question 8B

That section is only needed if you are using a house as an asset.

Secondly, no...CC debt is unsecured anyway.
