Hi:

 

My fiance will be here soon. Few weeks to be more precise.  I am currently filing single and 1 dependent in my federal taxes.

 

a) When you get married do you have to change your status to married?

b) what about the dependents? Can I still claim married and "1" and would that be enough taxes being deducted on my check?

c) Is there any difference in the Federal, than for Alabama? I wouldn't know if and how to change my taxes in Alabama

10/17/2018                After 136 days of wait in HELL, finally EAD in production

10/21/2018                Card was mailed to me, and yes it said so on a Sunday night, while Vj-ing

10/22/2018                Card was picked up by the USPS

10/24/2018                EAD in hand. F%^&& finally

12/28/2018                Interview has been scheduled. Waiting for notification with date by snail mail

Yes after you're married you HAVE to file taxes both federal and state as Married. Since you know, you're no longer single... 

 

You just pick married option next time you file taxes. You don't report it anywhere else.

can i keep my deductions currently at work single and "1" till i have to file taxes for 2018 or do they need to be changed as soon as I get married?

     Your filing status and your w4 are not required to be the same.   What you file your taxes as are determined by your household state at the end of the year.  For this year end it should be married either filing jointly or separately.   Your W4 controls the upfront withholding.  I usually play with mine during the year to make sure I am as close to even as possible when it comes to my tax liability

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
