I will definitely do that. The next step is to wait for the packet from the embassy I believe. We’re gathering the documents at the moment, first being the police report.

Oh ok but you can also email the embassy for the packet. People have posted the requirements that they send to you online but you will need paperwork that they can email you for medical and can also fill out ds-160 online... think you can schedule the interview after you complete ds-160

Hi guys! I’ve been a long time lurker. Congrats to everybody that’s been approved so far. Me and my fiancé have been waiting for 199 days now :( I feel like this process is never going to end :’(. My fiancé called USCIS yesterday but CS representative refused to transfer him to Tier II rep. How do we talk to a Tier II rep?

Hi, I find that if you ask to be transferred to tier 2 without asking the initial rep any questions about your case, in most cases they will.  I had various instances where I first asked about my case, then asked to be transferred to tier 2, they will either give you the runaround and say that you will get the same response, or they will simply not transfer you.  I they ask why you want to speak to tier 2 , say you want to know whether your case has been assigned to an officer for adjudication.  I believe that the cust svc reps don't have access to this info and therefore have no choice but to transfer you.  Hope this helps. Good luck :)

No update on the site: well the uscis is glitchy, have you tried both new and old site?

(if no update on site then no update will occur on any apps either, as those just check the site too but automatically )

What grinds my gears is that you supposedly had an rfe flag 5 days ago and they still haven't drafted or sent the rfe letter abd that's the first time i see that (I'm not surprised though, it is the uscis after all).

I received an RFE when I was out of the country. I was visiting my fiance in Spain when the Case tracker stated that I had a Request for Initial Evidence. Due to me not being home for the next week, I requested that I had the RFE faxed to my sister in order to be able to respond quickly. After a few hours of waiting I was able to get them to fax the information a few days after it was given, but otherwise I didn't receive the actual paperwork for almost 2 weeks after receiving the status update.

So I got a call back from USCIS today ( the wait time was only 67 minutes :o).  I took the call while I was on video conference with my fiance.  The tier 2 rep got on the phone and I was expecting the usual "your case is within the 5-7 month processing time" speech.  However, I was advised that my case had been and I quote "ordered approved" on May 9th.  Both my fiance and I were in shock and very happy at the same time.:jest::D I had always pictured me calling her to deliver the news or sending her a screen shot of the case approved notice, but never like this.

Then the rep said it would take a few days for the official letter to arrive.   I guess we can consider this a silent NOA2 as both websites still say case received.  No text or email either.

NOA1 Oct 25th

NOA2 May 9th

Timeline updated.

I wish for everyone still waiting a prompt approval.  As I said in a previous post, resilience and strength is key.  May 2018 NVC thread here I come!  Did anyone start a thread yet?

UPDATE!

I got a text, email and update on old website.  Official date is May 10th.  Timeline updated.
