I know there tends to be a range on timeframe to approval from an RFE depending on the complexity of the issue, but I was issued an RFE due to my divorce decree not being signed by a judge. My county that I reside in only electronically files unfortunately. After I called the county, that issued a certified stamp divorce decree along with reference to the State Stat. that states we are an electronically filing county as of 2016. Anyone else have experience with this?

We received that status change on the Case Tracker stating the RFE has been received for review! :)

hello I'm Spanish ... and I sent my divorce decree ... and my fiancé is from Texas and he sents his divorce certificate  (with judge's signature) ... maybe it's different in different counties

We got a RFE because we sent his civil registration (last step in divorce process in Colombia) but they wanted his actual divorce decree... from the time they rec'd our response to RFE was about 2 weeks to approval! Good luck! hang tight for about two weeks maybe less :D

I'm hoping for that as well, I have seen that it hasn't taken too long if you have the proper documentation. The only fear I have is that I sent the actual 13 page divorce decree first in my original package but due to the electronically filing process there was no judge signature. Hopefully the certified stamp and documentation will do the trick!

Perfect thank you for the information! Yes, my divorce decree didn't have a signature from the judge, it only stated in printing "electronically filed by court commissioner" hopefully a stamped certified copy will do the trick!

Hey everyone, we are Oct 24th 2017 filers, so i went ahead and contacted USCIS on Monday and spoke with a TIER 2 Rep, whom stated that a RFE letter update on my case was flagged as of May 4 2018. She stated that the case owner is in the process of drafting the letter and does not know what is being requested just yet. Has anyone experienced this response, and How Long before the letter is received. The Tier 2 Rep said 2 weeks.  The funny thing is there is no update of this on the app or on the website.  Any feedback would be appreciated.

No update on the site: well the uscis is glitchy, have you tried both new and old site?

(if no update on site then no update will occur on any apps either, as those just check the site too but automatically )

What grinds my gears is that you supposedly had an rfe flag 5 days ago and they still haven't drafted or sent the rfe letter abd that's the first time i see that (I'm not surprised though, it is the uscis after all).

OMG - I just wanted to say that I've been learning the October forum for awhile (January filer), just trying to learn and be proactive and see good news versus sitting here and hearing/seeing nothing but months go by. I have seen all your posts and it would always break my heart because you went through this one time and because of someone else's poor judgement and screw-up (your lawyer) you had to do this all over again and wait.

I read your post from right before this a few mins ago and said, God - this couple really needs this, it's just so unfair, give them that approval they deserved so long ago. And then i kept scrolling and saw this! I am SO VERY VERY VERY happy for you and your fiancee! I don't know you, but my heart moved with everyone of your posts and I just wanted to say from afar and that I am genuinely so happy for you both!!!!
