Yes. I think the only thing to avoid is the interview as you won’t have your passport and when you have it it will have the k1, but before that scrutiny as normal  

 

i was actually planning to visit in between my medical and interview but decided not to because I was able to schedule it earlier.

I'm assuming CBP can see that NOA2 has been granted and thus extra scrutiny?

Omg! We just got the approval letter this morning! 🎉🎊My fiancé just called me and said that he got the letter at the mail saying that we got approved on the 30 of April!!! I’m sooo happy and excited!! We cried so had of happiness! Thanks to all this visa journey family for always supporting each other and cheering us up. @Brigitte84 @Kelly1987 @Naes .
