Thank you everyone for the wonderful encouraging words whether here or in messages. I am so glad to have met you all on this forum. I hope the best for you all just as much I do for myself. You all keep me going...

My fiance is a very strong person..I would feel differently if he wasn't completely alone at the moment or if I could visit him even.  We are definitely going to see what happens in the next 10 days or so..then go from there.

You can do this girl! Hang in there. We're right here waiting with you and trust me we will cheer for you as loud as if it were our own NOA-2.

Hi guys! Just a question, my received date is 31 October (on App as well), my notice date is November 2. What is my NOA1? Thank you in advance and wishing acceleration to everyone! I find different answers but not quite sure.

From the VJ perspective you are an October filer as we go with the received date. If you start calling USCIS you need to mention the November 2 date as thet is the day they go by.

You are ever so kind @DonAnn wish my faith was that strong, to claim it in advance :) @EllyNelly @BnK How are you ladies ? Just sw a rep (WHO WAS NOT TIER 2, but asked how she could help and she paused the phone to go inquire) and she says my file looks  great, no concerns, background already done,.. just for the officer to issue the approval. She said even though it could be up to 60 days, maybe within a week (don't quote her). Also she said some adjudicators really work faster than others. So there! #deeeeeeeepsigh

I appreciate it... Im so down at this point

Those of you who have RFE, hold tight and expect an approval. You will definitely hear back. When my fiance and I applied the first time, we were issued an RFE (thanks to an incompetent lawyer) but we heard back by the 60th day (NOID thanks to our incompetent lawyer)

The first time we could've gotten our approval in three months (last year applied February and got an rfe in May)... so to have to wait again and this time longer sucks and kept in limbo without any concrete idea. I did speak to a tier 2 yesterday he said security checks are done and we are only awaiting desicion. The only reason I can think of the delay is we filed the second time. Oh well... (reason for NOID- hadn't seen each other within 2 years because the lawyer was a dumbass)

Hey guys! Quick question.  I got my NOA2 on 04/16 in the mail  Its said that it was approved on 04/10.  How long until NVC receives paperwork and assigns a case #? I called them last Friday and they do have not received anything yet.  Is there a time frame chart that i can go by?  My lawyer is telling me that all i can do is wait.  I'm trying to get more info. I know that once the consulate receives the paperwork, it should not be much longer before interview.

What I learned lawyers dont care. Call NVC every day if you have to get your case number.

14 days is a good estimate I think. So by now I would think they would have it. You can try calling the NVC to get your case number so you can schedule the medical exam and setup any courier information, if required..
