Yes but that's the same procedure as EAD. Not sure about the processing times but I cant imagine them being a lot less than EAD.

Yeah this was the RFE and another letter when they explain that they want from us more evidence .We have sent 28 photo's first time tickit of  air I don't know what they want else 😞. Anyway we have to send them to much screenshots from our conversations from facebook ticket passport that we have travel together hope that this will be okay now because we are so sad for this.Only afraid is for this form that we don't know how to answer because our loyer said that we don't have any reason why to complete it .We believe @Naes at this point but we are so confused so stressed that you can not believe .😢😢😢😢😢

so we are going to have our partners come to this country, and still have to wait forever to travel? OMG! I know they can travel within the 50 states, but man oh man!

Im sorry I'm sure this is so frustrating. Im still waiting on NOA2. I'm sure everything you send this time will get that approval!! That was weird about the multi-filer, i think we left that blank too...so many questions in the I-129F are easy to miss answering if you don't go through with with a fine tooth comb, especially when it seems like it is not applicable. Keep us posted on how the RFE response goes! Good luck, hang in there <3

It's true, but 7 months does seem an extreme case.  One of my international students married last August, end of the month.  They delayed a couple of weeks before doing AOS but she still didn't get her paperwork until early December...so about 3.5 months.

 

One thing to keep in mind is that nearly every agency in the U.S. government is way understaffed, not to mention the current administration and it's nominees' general unfriendliness to immigration overall.  Even long term multi-administraton civil servants have to learn and adapt to new directives which bogs the whole chain down even more.  I read a  pretty recent report said the State Department, for example has as much as 80% of positions vacant.  Oddly enough, it does seem to be the NVC/Embassy process that is the fastest though....funny that.

This is exactly how I feel. 6-7months seems such a little time compared to the rest of our lives? Don't think we can really blame USCIS they're just doing their jobs. We can say we'd do things faster ourselves personally but we don't know what regulations and rules they have to go through, so lets give them the benefit of the doubt and feel grateful that we've woken up another day not just being closer to the one we love but to make differences in a lot of other people's lives! 

 

Also... just been doing mini scans around my WAC number (Case received date 30th Oct). Seen a rain of approvals from last week 26th/27th that weren't there over the weekend and a few RFEs. So I'm thinking that their systems are up and running and we should see a storm of approvals this week!

Minis are only showing backdated approvals and RFEs from Apr 27, not seeing any Apr 30 movement.
