Ugh...I'm hearing from other places on the site that EADs are also super backlogged. Some people have been waiting over 7 months?! That's crazy. Now I'm worried about that too :(

That's your workpermit. After you get to the states you file for AOS, your greencard. You cant work or travel till you get your greencard and that can take up to a year. So you can apply for EAD work permit and AP travelpermit at the same time as AOS. It used to be that they were issued within 2 months 😑

Really? Wow, I didn't know that. And yes, I agree that I wish I had done CR-1. I've been okay waiting for NOA2 and all, but the EAD this is kind of the last straw for me... I can't imagine moving to a new country and then being stuck at home (not able to visit your home country or even work) for seven months! Honestly it just makes me worried for my fiance. :(

I think someone mentioned that you can get an AP for travel in the meantime. So the person can travel while they wait... @Naes, and others is this right? If not, to wait for that long to work, and not be able to travel? OMG

Thank you so much!

The meaning of backlogged EAD is depressing
