Last night we did some analysis in the November thread based on available case data from Q1 2018, and we think they're running about a 30% "Silent NOA2 Approval" rate.  I was also guessing that about 50% get RFEs

Given 1172 known October approvals in the scans should be about "70%" of all October approvals, then we can guess there are about another 500 cases that were approved silently, out of the 1670 "virgins" left, plus perhaps there are some silent RFEs in that group as well... I'd guess October virgins is really somewhere under 1200, and possibly only 950 if we assume a 50% silent RFE ratio to the silent approvals as well.

Someone else stated the Case Inquiry date is based on a 93% completion rate, and the date is now October 17th.

We also are estimating they are completing (approving/denying) somewhere between 160 and 230 cases a day across all months, not including sending out RFEs.  I'm going to guess that for those of you still waiting, there's a very high likely of them wrapping up the month (apart from the 7% problem cases) in the next 3 weeks.

Hang in there, I know some of you guys have waited longer than you should have to! Stay positive, the wait is almost over! Any day now!

Thank you!!!! I really appreciate this post :)

I love this and thank you for sharing it with us. But I have to add, that the Case Inquiry date is automatically updating at 8pm (my US EASTERN time zone) every day. Even on weekends, even days when they did not receive cases. I was watching like a hawk this weekend because I am 10/17. The Case Inquiry date went to 10/14 and 10/15 on Sat and Sun. So I don’t believe that they actually calculate it based the 93% completion rate. They just pushed the date back a couple of weeks from what they are actually working on.

Oh as we do not want unnecessary communication unless it is an NOA2! CASE APPROVED. This better be the most difficult, and longest part of the process. I could NOT deal with anything else of this magnitude before a wedding

You won't. Your process should be pretry smooth now

My petition was approved.  I submitted on 11 October 2017 and it was approved on 15 May 2018.  I contacted my senator a few weeks ago and received an email yesterday stating that his office contacted USCIS on the 13 May 2017.  So, I am not sure if the petition just ran its course or if my senator influenced the decision.   I am very disheartened by this entire experience.   I am a retired veteran, 20 years of active duty, 100% disabled due to combat related injuries and I have an infant son, 8 months old, with my fiance.  I just don't understand how my petition went past the normal processing time and why I was forced to contact my senator.  Anyway, good luck to everyone who is still waiting and I hope your day comes soon.

Congrats!!! The long wait definitely can leave you with a bitter taste - good luck on the remaining part of your journey!

I have a friend of mine who was a July filer whose petition took 224 days to get approved. He also contacted his senator(s) and then had his approval just a couple days after that.

I think it's the best inquiry option as long as you wait until the inquiry date has passed to ask them to help you.

Thanks @DonAnn. I pray you are better today

Thank you.  I am feeling okay... I decided not to torture myself today by constantly checking websites and apps or calling USCIS. I am hoping to wait patiently until next Wednesday when I hit 7 months and 1 day. If I don't get a response by then they will certainly get tired of me because I will contact everybody...

That is good to know. I am rooting for you!
