Good morning..quick question..is there a certain time we can call USCIS to talk to a tier 2 officer about our case?do we have to wait after 7 months of NOA1?

My fiancee called this morning and the person said if you don't hear anything by this Friday which is 7 month on dot after our rfe.....calm on Monday.

HANG IN THERE @DonAnn

Thank you. The wait is really starting to get to me.  I was on the phone with tier 1 representative when you wrote this.  She acted like she really didn't want to transfer my call and was playing dumb so I played along until she finally transferred me... now I of to wait for callback.  She did claim that my case was assigned to an officer on 5/10  but who knows if that's true... I'm ready to lose it cause who knows if they'll just approve it... rfe at this point will probably cause me to turn into hulk

Here is the logic all petition depends on the desk it was.....it might be on the desk of a person that is so lazy that he or she will not go through more than 10 to 15 petitions on a day.

And on the other hand a petiton might fall on the desk of a person who is hard working and God fearing wanted to do his or her job to let people be with thier loved ones.

In short all petitions end time is 7 month so if your petiton is more than 7 month it will be advise able to call and ask about your petiton... Why because that is how the uscis will know that a certain petition is not yet attended to from who ever your petition is assigned to.

So as the help record your complain they will quickly check for you who is in charge of your petiton.

Though they might give you an answer that we are on it but really after they end the call they will call or send a mail to the person in charge of your petiton why this petiton is taking time.

So it's advice to keep calling and asking all about your petiton not only looking at other petition been approved and your is not because the person going through your petition might be different.

Good evening.

I'm convinced that mine is NOT God-fearing and the thought of waiting until next Wednesday (7 months) just gets me upset. Anyway, good luck wit yours

Yours took 8 days because your petiton is either remain 8 day to 6 month or 8 days to 7 month.

I mentioned this as the question was, how long after RFE received to RFE approved. I am not giving a reason as to why it was approved as God knows I have been so stressed. I hope to provide some insight as it was provided for me. Thank you all so much.

I see you submitted your RFE on 4/30, it's barely 14 days since then... it should be processed within the next week or so, given trends we've seen here.

You can call to speak to a Tier 2 at anytime right now - they probably won't give you much specific information though...

7 months is the maximum time frame to be "within normal processing time"; after it's out of normal processing times then you are able to submit a formal inquiry as to the status of your case....

Alright so after all that I was told that they mailed me a letter stating that they don't know when the case will be processed yet and that they are aware of the difficulties and whatever delays may cause... they are committed to processing cases blah blah blah... BS!

Typical! I don’t even call anymore - it just disappoints me and I refuse to let them dictate my day to day happiness ❤️

I'm sorry for the difficulties! I was in tears when I called to inquire about the RFE while I was out of the country, and after waiting for a few hours for a callback, they informed me that if I didn't give them a domestic fax number for them to fax the RFE reason within the next 2 minutes they were hanging up. Needless to say, as my parents were answering for the fax number my 2 minutes were up and he hung up on me :(

Such a stressful situation
