Im still waiting for NOA2 , but as I wait for that and the interview I started to think about the cost of the whole entire visa process. Initially there was a $170.00 fee when I-129f was send out. My concern is what other things will have to be paid as the process goes. Like how much is the visa? How much is the medical? What other expenses will be paid?

Probably the cost are different depending on the countries. But if there is any Mexican K-1 fillers, can you help me out just to have an idea and to be ready and save up money as I wait for NOA2 and the interview in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. Thanks

Visa process is definitely costly. Specifically - CDJ medical is $135 and visa applicant fee is $100. Then you have flight costs to CDJ and hotel expenses. Once your fiance gets to US plan on your fiance not working for at least 6 months depending on when you get married and apply for your EAD/AOS. Currently AOS/EAD combined fees are about $575. However sometime this year there is suppose to be a big increase on this fee to over $1000. START SAVING AND PLANNING YOUR BUDGET. Visa process is expensive but well worth it to have your loved one with you. Good Luck to you at CDJ. Make sure you check out Juarez topic in Foreign Embassy section and read CDJ reviews - it will help you prepare for your interview. Let me know if you have any questions.

We had our AOS interview recently and the interviewer joked about the fee increases--he said we "got a bargain" because some fees were going to more than double.

I suggest you start reading through the fiance packet for Ciudad Juarez on their website. The visa interview fee is the same all over the world but the instructions for payment differ country to country. The Medical fee is Ciudad Juarez depends on whether or not your fiance plans to get vaccinations there and how many are required. It's impossible to know if advance if fingerprints will be required - that's an additional $85.

That's exactly was I looking for. Like you said, plane tickets and hotel stay isnt included but must consider it. But thanks so much for the info. Now I have an idea on how much to save right now and not be caught off-guard with the fees. If I have any more questions, I'll ask you, since your pretty much been thru all that process.

By the way, which state is your fiancee from? Mine is from Zamora, Michoacan.
