Birth certificate translation requirement by Montreal Consulate

I am a Canadian citizen through naturalization, I have a birth certificate in Chinese,which I used  when I immigrated to Canada before year 2000. I'm now at the NVC stage of my CR1 application. The authority(China) who issued my birth certificate actually already provided the English translation together as a second page, but it doesn't explicitly state that the translation is complete and accurate.I guess I need some sort of certification to make this translation "certified"?

 

I did a search on VisaJourney and found out that the translation requirement really depends on the consulate I am going to have interview. I may consider the flowing options:

 

1. simply be a signed statement of translation accuracy by a friend or even the petitioner/applicant himself, who are fluent in both languages.

2.signed by some sort of professional translation agency? such as REV?

3. signed by some special "approved" translator  here: http://ottiaq.org/  and meet Montreal's special requirements

 

I don't know which one Montreal consulate needs. I wondering if any guys have the same situation can share their experience dealing with Montreal consulate?

Mine was In polish.

I was told it didnt need to be notarized just translated and certified.

So I took it to an immigration notary anyways and at the end of the day they just certified it ..however it was nice because they actually write everything out word by word and if there were stamps they write the word stamp and where the date is etc...they sort of make a copy of your birth certificate in English in a way. It was worth the extra 50 bucks or whatever it cost me to take the worries off my shoulders and I had zero issues at the interview (Montreal) but I have been told anyone can certify it if they are fluent in the language. I was too worried it wouldnt be suffice.

to update my own question. The Chinese original 2 pages white book birth certificate is good enough. 

I have been approved.
