Hello guys,

I received a letter from USCIS informing me the date of green card interview. I have some questions about the materials that I should bring to the interview. Of the document list, there is one saying that i need to bring all documentations establishing your eligibility for lawful permanent resident status. I am not sure what documentations it refers to exactly. Does anyone know? Please help! Thank you!

How are you eligible for AOS? Bring the documents that proof why you are eligible to file for AOS. Without more info about you, no one can really help you. If you are adjusting based on marriage bring the marriage certificate and documents that show that you entered the country legally. If you adjusted from a K1 visa, bring that plus the marriage certificate. If you are adjusting through an employer bring your employment visa and I-94 etc. ...

I seem to recall that my interview notice included a list of documents that should be brought.  For a marriage based interview some documents that you should bring are

1) Passport- with a copy of all pages

2) Original Marriage certificate

3) Originals of any documents that you submitted as evidence with the application.

4) Originals and copies of any additional evidence that you wise to present (eg. most recent taxes, bank statements since submitting the application)

5) Old immigration documents and copies of the originals

Its not an extensive list. One item that surprised me (an my lawyer) was that they wanted to a copy of every page of my passport for the file.

You should bring a copy of any documents that you bring that wish to keep.  The IO can usually make copies, but it is easier to have a copy available for the file.

Good luck on the interview

The NVC's website says

Unexpired passport valid for six months beyond your intended date of entry into the United States and a photocopy of the biographic page (where your name and photo are located).

I'm just relaying what the IO asked for at my interview.  Perhaps they had a specific reason, but he did say that they were copying all pages of passports at the Hartford office.

Thank you for your help! Copy every page of passport, you mean to copy every page of passport with stamps on it or it includes blank page?

I think it was every page including the blanks.
