Don't see anything 'good' or 'bad' about it. Whether the petitioner can go in is entirely up to the embassy anyway. Many people clear interviews without their spouses there.

Some embassies allow the petitioner to attend the interview and some don't. The Juarez embassy in Mexico, for example, does not allow the petitioner to attend.

You can always check the VJ reviews for the Santo Domingo consulate here http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Dominican Rep&page=2&dfilter=5&topic= to see if other petitioners were allowed to attend. Just from a casual reading it seems that they were, though take this with a grain of salt and always be prepared to be denied entry.

It is not required but it is highly suggested. I went with my wife to her interview at the Embassy in Santo Domingo and the CO interviewed both of us at the window. We witnessed other people who were being interviewed alone also.

It would help, but it is not an essential requirement to be there.

For Clarity, there is only one US Embassy in any country.  With one exception the Embassy is in the Capital City.  What is in Juarez is a Consulate.  With one exception, there is only ONE Consular Immigrant visa unit in any country.  Sometimes it is housed in the Capital City but there are MANY exceptions.  Cuidad Juarez is one of those many.

Adding, there are countries where there is no US Embassy at all, or in which there is no Consular Immigrant Visa Unit.  Iran is an example.

go with him, I believe being together is a plus for you. And you're pregnant that's another plus !

showing others that you're together in every single step in your life makes them think that you're both a real couples.

I went with my husband to his interview in Honduras.  The website said the petitioner can't go, but I was allowed.  Because of the misinformation on the site, no one else had a spouse with them.  They all seemed to be happy leaving.  I'm glad I went but I doubt it will change anything either way.  It depends on how you two feel about it.  I wanted to be there and he was nervous.

I'm not a doctor , but it's known that the first three months of pregnancy are a little bit dangers so you need to rest yourself till the pregnancy is stabilized.

during the fifth month to the seventh I think you can take a flight. it's better to take an advice from your doctor anyway.

good luck!
