Good Morning,

I am the foreing fiance. I am finishing the Form I-129F. I have some problems about the photos that can prove our bona fide relathionship and in-person meeting in the last two yars.

We didn't have any cerimony for the engagement, he simply asked me to get marry him under the tower of Pisa in Italy. We have only one photos of that moment and you can see only his back, not his face. Is it enought to prove our engagement?

We have many photos together, in Italy and in USA, with my son, with his parents, with my friends. Can you tell me how do I have to print them and where I have to write the date, locations, names and so on?
My idea is to put two photos a page in the program Word and type under each photos all the informations and after that print the file using photo quality paper. Is that accept from USCIS?

Thanks

Carla

Unless things have changed you don't need to prove engagement.  Only state you intend to marry.

I just printed out about 5 pictures on plain white copy paper, i never wrote on them what or where they were.

I think you are going a tad overboard trying to use photo quality paper

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

You don’t need to prove the moment of engagement and you don’t need a ceremony. You can use your pictures from the trip. Your idea sounds really good :) We did the same, 2 pictures each page with date place and people in it. And a little bit of explanation next to each picture and printed them out on normal paper.

you each need to add a letter of intent to marry with sign and date and that will be the proof for engagement.

Thank you. I just wanted to be sure that they will accept the photos in that way

Means you don’t need to use high quality paper. Normal paper would be enough too.

I submitted 2 sheets with 4 pictures on each sheet......no issues doing that.

I am scared to do something wrong. I don't want to pay a lawyer to do my paperwork and for me is hard to understand english, I don't know how it works in USA and my fiancee doesn't have time to follow the process, he works 14 hours a day...

If English is hard for you to understand, the I think your fiance should get more involved, in my opinion.  Following the instructions is very important if you want to avoid unneeded delays.  Have you looked at the regional sub forums here on VJ?  Perhaps there are others with whom you can communicate in your native language....

Good luck with your journey:)

PLease know that photos alone are not enough to prove your relationship has met in 2 years.

The US citizen must show every page, including blank pages, of their passport that shows the passport stamps of going to the country you met in within the last two years.

You should also include any boarding passes, and receipts and other paperwork that can show you both were in the same area at the same time.

If you only send photos and write about it, it will not be enough as they cannot prove the photos are less than 2 years old.

2 sheets, 4 pics each, and under the pic the date and the place where we took it.

No problems at all!
