Biometrics done

Just an update!    Yesterday my wife had her Biometrics appointment,  and her appointment was given very quickly, like a week before the "estimated" time.  Anyways, it was for 9am in Las Vegas, so we went the day before to stay the night to avoid anything, like a road closure, detour,   construction, accident etc that could have made us late.  I think the NOA letter said no cell phones, so left them in the car. (got a parking space right up front by the door!).  Everyone else had their phones in and txting etc, so we could have had them.  We got there early like 8:20, and no line.  She registered,  filled out a quick little form, showed Id, and we are out of there at 8:35!!  Awesome!  In hindsight, what we did not bring is a copy of our marriage license,  and copy of her birth certificate, and they had asked if she had them along.  I was there, so I was able to show ID with my last name matching her name on her new SS card.  15 minutes, in and out!  again,  awesome!   Now we wait for her EAD to come, and if the time tables hold true for us, it will be 5 to 8 weeks!

 

I Want to thank the VJ community!  I have found a lot of help over the months from people who have "been there, done that", and I recommend to many who are new at this!
