So you are not going to elaborate and just give generic answers?

Why do you folks insist I type

1. You don't take a knee while on patrol for a security stop or you will die.

2. Trying to equate what they are doing to being a sign of respect,  much like kneeling beside a grave, is absurd.

Speculation at best.

There's a lot of reason why the owners/bosses would want their players/employees to be happy.

Cause insulting a large percent of your customer base is the thing to do,

Because it's a forum.. you are supposed to discuss things. If you don't want to type then you don't have to post.

It's just good clean fun .

1. I guess it's your word vs the veteran's.

I am not qualified to speak on the subject.

2. Depends on the context .. I've been an athlete all my life. We kneel as a sign of respect.

Actually the don't have that right. The owners are tolerating behaviors that are not allowed,  because everyone is scared to death of being called RACIST

It's really that simple.

They do have that right. The company may choose to take action as a result of that as they see fit. If they don't take action, it's their choice.

If it bothers you, don't watch it. There's more to life than the TV.

Perfect it is all about context and you equated it to kneeling besides a veterans grave. Not at all the same.

Of course, that was a point in my first post.

You don't agree with the protest so you think the NFL shouldn't allow it.

That's not honoring the 1st amendment.

You keep bringing up the 1st Amendment relative to the NFL, the two have nothing to do with each other.  The NFL serves a very broad customer base with many opinions (some public officials and some private citizens), however it does allow for political protests at this time due to the ways their rules are written and the agreement they have with the NFLPA.  This may change in the future and more than likely there will be a labor dispute in the near future due to a softening of revenue to the league.

You also implied Trump supporters wanted to restrict the first amendment rights of climate scientists.  Do you have proof?  I'll bet you missed the proposals from the progressive leftist leaders from the previous administration that wanted to make it a crime to speak out against or debate these climate scientists.

And that is their right. But the company is not disrespecting them. I am avoiding brands that uses GMO. Do I feel that those companies are disrespecting me? No. It is their choice to use GMO products and my choice not to support them. Neither of us are being disrespected.

Usage of GMOs is not really a political statement.  When protests tend toward the political, disrespect of one side or the other usually will follow.  If the NFL thinks it can weather this storm good for them.

So anyone not agreeing with these protests by these very highly paid players is a racist?

Why insult any side?  Why not take the Michael Jordan approach and not alienate anyone that buys shoes with his name on it that I am sure have a wide variety of political views.  I think MJ makes quite a bit of money from Nike based on their sales.

I forgot to bring up that point. Some on the left have called for the arrest of man made global warming skeptics. I'm sure there will be a mental gymnastics performance here to justify that one.

I never said GMO's is a political statement. I used it as an example for whether or not a company has disrespected someone when they give you a product you don't want.

I really don't get how doing a peaceful protest against the treatment of POC can disrespect someone. But yeah, to each their own and if they don't want to watch NFL then that's their decision and their right not to watch it if it offends them that much.
