Hi all,

We received my husband's i130 approval on Feb 7 2018. Our lawyer said we would get an email from the NVC to start the process with in 4-5 weeks. It's been almost 3 months!! Our lawyer sent an email and we were told that our case has been received. The email also said to contact them within 8 weeks if we had not been processed. Is this a common occurrence with NVC?? I am getting a bit frustrated....

 

Also wondering if anyone has been processed through the Consulate in Montreal. Wondering how long the wait times are to get an appointment. You're praying that this wait is long but the interview date will come very fast.

 

Any help, or advice, or experiences you guys could give would be great.

You need to call nvc directly normally it takes 6 to 10 weeks to get case number. Depends when uscis send your file to nvc. You will find out once u call nvc. I hardly seen anyone contacted nvc thou email.
