Honestly, the only thing that matters are EVs.

Gas guzzling cars aren't worth my time anymore.

Looks like Hybrid is going to be the thing for the near future.

Also forced air induction is gaining traction.

I have to give it to Ford. They are evolving their trucks.

I personally love my Volt.

I get free charges at work so I really only buy gas about once every 2 months.

Ford optimizing their weight reduction will lead to better results.

Gas engines will always be inefficient due to how much heat is lost in the combustion process.

Start stop tech is a huge help but it seems like the customers hates adapting to new tech.

Yes we have start stop on the highlander.

You are right. Most customers don't care about it or like the engine stoping at a traffic light

Yes you hate Toyotas and never miss a chance to tell the world. I get it. Jeez

I don’t hate Toyotas.  The Tundra seems to be a good truck.  Camry’s are great cars.  Never drove an Avalon, so can’t say, but see quite a few where I lived.  Toyota skimped in too many areas that matter on the Tacoma.  I may be in the minority on it, bcuz as you said, they hold their value well.  But I don’t think I would ever own one unless I was able to buy it for a song.

How far can you go on a charge?  And how much does it cost you for a full charge when you aren’t letting someone else pay for it?

I agree, I think hybrids are going to be the future.  EVs may work for some, but I don't see them being able to do everything an ICE can do without needing relatively long breaks for charging.

The Volt is not an EV, it is a Plug-in Hybrid.  Do you have a first or second generation Volt?  How is your electric range in the Winter?

I actually thought I would hate Stop/Start, but now I am driving a vehicle with that feature, I am fine with it, and I actually notice the times in the cold morning when it doesn't kick in due to the vehicle load electrically.

I had a 1983 Cavalier and it was OK.  Not the worst.

Worst vehicle I ever had was a 1993 or 1994 (can't remember) Chevy G20 conversion van.  EVERYTHING went wrong...  Don't know what I was thinking by keeping it past the warranty.  Guess I figured that things that got fixed under the warranty would never be a problem again.  That was really stupid on my part.  After I got rid of it I swore I would NEVER by another GM product.

Worst vehicle I ever had was a Buick Skylark (GM X-Car Platform).  All around #######.  It hasn't turned me fully against GM though as I know all car companies go through these periods.  I drove my Buick Regal GS (1990 W-Car) for over 350,000 miles with very little issue and no rust problems.

A Tacoma retains about 60% of value at 60 months

A ridgeline holds about 46% of value at 60 months

on a 35k Vehicle thay is about a 7K hit in value over 6 years.

One of my favorite cars was my 1987 Buick Grand National. I still kick myself in the butt for selling it.

Drive a Ford, a Ridgeline, then a Tacoma back to back and tell me which is the least comfortable of the three (never drove the Colorado, so can’t speak to it).

I paid $28K for the Gen 1, drove it for 11 years, and sold it for $10K.  That’s only $1637 per year.  I was very happy with that.  Zero rust on it.
