B2 visa without verifiable income

I have been searching and reading the forum for a while now and can't find a similar thread so I am posting a new thread.  I would like my girlfriend to visit from Vietnam under a B2 visa.  I am a US citizen.  I understand it is a high fraud country.  She owns her own house and has an 11 year old daughter which would remain with her parents while she was here.  I hope those two things should suffice for the reasons to cause her to return home.  She does not have a verifiable income or pay stubs.  That is the thing I'm most worried about her being denied.  I am willing to file an Affidavit of Support to avoid any concern of her becoming a public charge.  I am past the income requirements by a very large margin.  Do you think this would be enough to get her approved?  Would I file a 1-864 or I-134? From what I have read generally the I-134 is used for non-immigrant beneficiaries and I-864 is for immigrant beneficiaries.

An I-134 does not apply for a tourist visa.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html

"Note: Visa applicants must qualify on the basis of the applicant's residence and ties abroad, rather than assurances from U.S. family and friends. A letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not needed to apply for a visitor visa. If you choose to bring a letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support to your interview, please remember it is not one of the factors used in determining whether to issue or deny the visa."

To be blunt, there's nothing you can do to impact whether she gets the visa or not. You can offer to cover travel charges (housing, flights, etc.), but no form is necessary....she would just list this on the DS-160 where it asks who is paying for the trip.

If she would shown I-134 I think it wouldn’t help her at all. And maybe it could do the opposite by “proving immigration intent” while using tourist vis. I’m from non fraud country and got my B2 visa being unemployed and traveling the world for 6 months while I know people who had strong ties to my country, families, houses, businesses and they got denied.

I also applied becsuse I was visiting my bf for a month and meeting his family, I was honest about my visit. Got back as a fiancé ;)

Prepare as much as possible, be confident and honest. Definitely provide address she will be staing at in DS-160 (probably your place) and your info and phone they can reach her while she is in states. Nothing more you can do! Good luck!

Thanks geowrain, I missed the part originally about it not a factor in the decision.  I'll just have her do it herself and we will see what happens.  I'm heading back over again in July - just returned last week.  I have the means to travel back and forth and the Vietnam visa but the time is the bigger issue due to my work.  She has the time to get away for a month at a time.

Thanks.  I'll probably wait until July when I am there to help her fill out the online DS-160.  Her English is rather good but I'd hate to have her misinterpret something and make a mistake on the application.

I’ll tell you how it works for my MIL. She has her interview in mid May.

Unfortunately i got sucked into doing the I-134 and other supporting documents. I told the wife that it’s based on her Mums chances of returning but apparently the Visa agent knows better.

The DS160 is a pretty straight forward form. Just list all her occupations where she gets the income so the officer will have an idea how she earns a living. They will not ask for pay stubs or land title or any other document from her or you so don’t stress about that anymore.

Good luck!👍🏼

Agree not a complicated application.
