There is technique to get to speak with a person. You can search on VJ here, there is a thread on how to contact USCIS and speak with a real person.

I have my Oath this Friday 03/26. Does anyone know if they still accept passport applications after oath? There is a long wait time at USPS so was hoping this can be done after my oath at the USCIS Atlanta District Office. TIA

Not that I’m aware of.

Had my interview this morning at 11:30 and was recommended for approval. During the interview, you are alone in one room and answer questions via an iPad. The questions were easy : which month we vote for President, Eisenhower was a General in which war, who's in charge of the executive office, what's the Capital of the USA, what does the President's Cabinet do, who did we fight during WW II.

Then the English test is printed and you read the question. Another page is printed and you write the answer.

After that, they review your application and answer yes or no questions.

It takes about 20 minutes. I should get an oath ceremony invitation in a couple of weeks. I will update when I get it. Good luck everyone

Congrats on passing your interview. Hopefully, you’ll get your oath letter soon. I’m still waiting on mine more than a month after my interview.

Congratulations!

We're still waiting for our oath letter and our interview was back in February 😬 So far reaching out to USCIS has resulted in a very bland, generic response.

Maybe they're scheduling oaths in batches?

If it is a judicial ceremony then yes, it is in batches. Since they only conduct it one day of the month (several ceremonies per day though). I guess that’s why my wait is so long cuz I’m changing my name. For people who don’t change their name idk why would it ever be more than a month.

My husband's name was already changed with the I-751, so I don't think it could be that. I wonder if security checks are taking longer because of his name and minor traffic violations? Although we did submit all the evidence prior to the interview and at the interview.

I’m not sure there are any security or other checks after your case was approved at/after your interview. Otherwise, how could they approve a case if they haven’t conducted all needed checks? I guess it is just a slow process, especially for name change, plus the backlog from COVID.

Right, I would think everything would have been done by then. I think it is just a slow process (especially ATL office) and the COVID backlog. We'll try to speak with a tier 2 officer in three weeks to see what is going on

So, I hadn't been able to get an Infopass appoitnent for the last three weeks and sure enough my GC expired.  I called again the day after it expired and they bumped it up to urgent and within two hours I was able to get an appointment for Monday for an extension stamp.  Phew!

I was told that they actually won't take my GC they will just add a sticker to it extending it for one year while I patiently wait for my interview date.
