Oath ceremony letter was uploaded later today, my oath ceremony is on April 23rd! Same location as the interview.

Niiice. You’re almost there! I wonder though if the 1.5 months between an interview and an oath is longer or shorter than normal.

Thanks! So happy it's almost done!! Unsure, but I'm guessing it's longer due to covid safety measures. Only allowing a certain amount of people in the ceremony room for it to be safe will delay things.

Time between interview and oath is usually 3-4 weeks. It's longer in the case of @-Shana- because of the name change.

3-4 weeks is not that bad. I had my interview last Friday and still don’t have my oath scheduled. It just says that I was placed in line for the oath ceremony. Not sure if it’s because I’m also changing my name. As far as I know they have to schedule you oath within the 30 days from your interview but the oath itself might be for a later date. Does anyone know if that is a correct assumption?

You’re also changing your name, right? Where will your oath ceremony be held? Also, does your letter indicate if you can bring anyone with you to the oath ceremony?

I'm changing my surname to my married name. It's going to be held in the same place that I did my interview. The letter says I cannot bring guests.

Thank you for the response. So you’re not really changing your name in the eyes of USCIS and don’t require a judicial ceremony.

He should send a message from his USCIS inbox to inquire about his biometric, are you sure he did not get a reuse? It might have been posted in his document tab. Another thing is try to speak with a tier 2 officer from the customer service number.

If all fails, he can get his senator or congress rep involved to see about biometric appointment. 1 year for no biometric appointment is a little bit strange.
