ATL Field office Filers?

Hubby went to his biometrics today. His appointment was at 12:00, but he had another conflicting appointment, so he went at 9. He finished around 11:30 and at 12:20 his case status changed to Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS.

Case completion is now October 2020, 1 month less.

Ugh, on the account our estimated case completion is back to November 2020 and it says estimated wait time is 8 months. Is that until we get an interview.

The case status updated to:

February 27, 2020

We reviewed your biometrics

You do not need to do anything at this time

We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your application

Hello Atlanta filers!

I’ve been checking this topic since I filed N-400 in November last year.  I was so worried as so many people who filed after me already have gotten the interview...but I just checked “my uscis” and found that they have scheduled my interview finally! 

 

I filed on Nov 25, did biometrics on Dec 18.

Hello guys! Have any of you heard anything from your cases? USCIS opens tomorrow. Hopefully we all hear something very soon! My case estimation on MYUSCIS says (2 months).

Hello! We haven't heard anything as of yet. We had reached out to Congresswoman McBath regarding our pending I-751 (pending interview since September 2019) and we were told on March 17, 2020 that our N400 case was in queue for interview scheduling and we should expect to hear from USCIS in 90 days. That very next day, USCIS closed lol.

Our case estimation is still showing 5 months. I'm hoping we'll hear something by the end of the summer. Has anyone else heard anything? I've noticed that people have been receiving notices for oath ceremonies the last couple of weeks, but haven't seen many interviews scheduled.

I reached out the her office as well since i live under her district but found out that reaching a congressman/woman is as good as calling USCIS  and asking for higher rank officers. Their help on cases are almost zero to none.

Is working with the congresswoman helpful at all? My I-751 has been pending since March 2019, and the only thing that happened was the case was touched to relocate to a different office *after* I filed for N-400 in January 2020.

We haven't had much luck with higher ran USCIS officers, so it was nice to receive some transparency regarding what was happening to the case. I'm still so jealous that you got your appointment in like what, three days after biometrics? Have you received any updates regarding your oath ceremony?

Honestly, I can't say if working with her was or wasn't.I'm not sure if we were placed into queue so quickly, because the case was taken out of a stack because the congresswoman wanted an update or if Atlanta is moving quicker due to it being an election year. 

I did appreciate the transparency regarding the status of our case (i.e., it's been touched, they're reviewing it, you're in line for interview), etc. I think they'll just combine the I-751 and N-400 interviews at this point. I also think you can request it (they still reserve the right to not do both though)  if it is not explicitly stated on your N-400 notice. It wouldn't hurt to reach out to her and see if they can provide any insight regarding either your N-400 or I-751

I was also surprised to get an interview date so soon as well but did not receive any update since the approval date March 5th. Would hope them to start scheduling people waiting for Oath ceremony within a month or two.

I wish we had more ATL users so we could see how things are playing out. I thought a lot of people would already be scheduled for this month seeing as how they had literally months to prepare  Hopefully you'll know something by the end of this month!

I remember reading on another post that the op's field office was doing 3-4 oath ceremonies 3 times a week. I can't remember which field office it was though.

Greetings all ATL N-400 filers. Filed online May 20, 2020 first day of eligibility. Received receipt NOA same day.  Like PonJor we reside in Congresswoman Lucy Mc Bath's district, but have not yet inquired as to an status update on our I-751 case approval. With the Atlanta USCIS Field Office scheduled to reopen today, it is unknown how soon approval and/or scheduling of interview NOA  will be processed. Let us hope it will be expeditious to say the least.
