Woodbury, just east of St Paul

I know that area well .. or at least did up until about 20 years ago.

Is Capt'n Jack's pizza still around?  It was off of I-94 heading toward Stillwater

I loved that place...  It has been gone a long time.  The Shipwreck pizza was the best

Yes they did have a good pizza there ...

Have you tried the pizza at the Savoy?  7th & Lafayette  .. we still go there when we get up that way.  Yup it is a bar.   Worth the drive.

WoW ... the times they are a changing.   Yes I had heard Red was "franchising",  didn't know the Savoy was gone.

I grew up in St. Paul Park.    Carbone's  pizza in the old Post Office is good too.   And has that dot on a map changed .. holy moly.

Red passed and they had to close the store because of ADA issues

Nope.  Carbone's is going strong.  They have like 37 locations

Trouble with Carbone's is the pizza vary by location.  The one (that was or is) on east 7th was very good, the one in St. Paul Park is very good, the one in Eagan sucked .. but that guy (last I lived there) was not using the same product .. cutting corners.

Hard to find good pizzas      Best I can do now is Papa Murphy's

I am American.  Fiancee is from Cebu

What you will find and what I have seen from first hand experience is that your fiance will like being around pinays but LOVE being other pinays that speak Cebuano/Bisaya. They usually feel more comfortable being around other people that speak it because as you know they know how to speak/read Tagalog but alot of them will feel uncomfortable speaking it at any great length.

I know my wife has made 1 good friend that is from Luzon but the vast majority are from the Visaya/Mindanao area.
