another affidavit of support?

So, myself and a cosponsor both filled out I 864 affidavit of support forms for my fiance (now wife) when we were going through the K1. I see that in the instructions for the I 485 AOS, it once again asks for the affidavit of support I 864. Do I have to do that again? or is that covered since she was already sponsored via the K1?

For the K-1 you need the i-134 Affidavit of Support.

For the AOS you need the i-864 Affidavit of Support.

The i-134 isn't binding, that's why the i-864 is necessary for when you AOS. That form is legally binding and an absolute must to add to the application, or else the application will be denied.

hi,

as said now you will need the i864 for the spousal visa. the i134 was a non binding affidavit of support and only used for the k1 visa. now you need to file another affidavit of support for your spouse
