Filed for AOS in Jan- call center says case rejected??!

We filed our AOS from a K1 visa with EAD and AP on January 31st. We received an RFIE on Feb 23. We sent all of the documentation needed back right away and we are well above the poverty guidelines, I think they just needed more tax information. We haven't been able to use the case checker online so we finally called the USCIS call center to check on our case. We gave her the receipt number we got with our first NOA. The agent says our case has been rejected? Could this be true? Is it possible that this is from the RFIE? 

 

We are thoroughly distressed as we have no idea why our case would be rejected and haven't received anything in the mail. I can't believe why it would possibly be rejected. We are waiting on a call back from a tier 2 agent at the moment.

UPDATE: Tier 2 officer called us back. It was not rejected, she was also confused as to why the first person would say that. Phew! Case is still on track and pending.

Good morning what’s the number you call for the Chicago logbox?? If that’s where you filed AOS
