how exactly did he try to fix it?

trump is trying to fix it and end it - without being able to effectively justify ending it? makes zero sense.

Yeah fixing it by making them actual permanent residents and giving them a path to citizenship in the distant future then ending the program.

but that isn't what happened.  and he could have very, very easily made that happen if he chose to.

instead, he's got to come up with a better justification for his move to end it - not his move to "fix" it.

So give me a way on how he could do that by going around Congress? He tried to do it the right way and it got rejected by the Dems and the hardline Republicans. So I would like hear how he can fix it?

for starters, not rescinding it in the first place.

after rescinding it - not attaching daca to his ridiculous wall and slashing of legal immigration.

and spare me with the whole 'going around congress nonsense'

he didn't ask for congressional approval when he decided to put on his syria show a couple weeks ago.

Ok DACA needed to be rescinded anyway or the states were going to sue in regards to it's constitutionality.  DACA is a political football and he was saying basically "I will give them a path to citizenship if you approve of xyz", but the Dems obviously don't care about the "Dreamers like they say they do.

Well I think a better explanation is they care more about the "xyz" that DACA was used to bargain for.

If you asked me to donate to charity but you will shot someone in the head if I do, if I decide not to donate to charity it isn't because I "don't care about charity". It's because I don't want you to shoot someone in the head. Obviously an extreme example I know, but just to illustrate it.

so let the states sue. they'd have to prove the same thing trump is failing to prove.

trump made it a political football. daca pertains to a very specific group of people, people that many democrats AND republicans want to protect. however, trump attaching a ridiculous (and ridiculously expensive) border wall and draconian immigration plan is in no way acceptable - even to daca recipients. the whole 'dems don't care about dreamers' is trumpspeak, and those who know better see it for what it is.

How is it expensive for a border wall if it's $25 Billion when California as a state spends over $21 Billion A YEAR on Illegals. What part of the plan was draconian in your book?

in my book? my book is not cehst approved.

there is plenty of opposition to the wall on both sides of the aisle, because of cost (25 billion is just the start) and studies concerning the effectiveness of said wall. the wall is a carrot trump likes to dangle for his most loyal base.

trump's plan to cut legal immigration back to levels not seen since the 1920s is draconian. i won't say why i think trump is trying to cut back legal immigration so severely. but the washington post ran an article that pretty much sums it up on february 6th, 2018.

The wall is going to be a lot cheaper than all the Cash Obama gave Iran

How much cash did Obama "give Iran"? (Include your source)

How much will complete construction of the wall cost? (Include your source)
