National Benefits Center? or National Visa Center? If it's the former then it might have gone to the wrong place :(

Your papers will be taken by NVC and assigned a case number. And normally it takes about 8 to 11 weeks for that before you can submit other papers.

Oh. If you are filing for Adjustment of Status meaning your spouse is already here in the US, then this is not the right thread. That is a different thread. Sorry! When the spouse is outside US, after approval of i130 it goes to National Visa Center for consular processing, not NBC

My case was transferred from Potomac center to the national benefits center. I filed a petition for my husband before and it was approved. I'm thinking maybe that's why they transferred it.

And my husband is not in the country so it is not for adjustment of status

My petition has been transferred already for 60 days. I haven’t heard back yet on approval or what the heck they are doing with it!!!! Taking to long

My petition has been there for six months I have not heard anything either. I did call customer service last month and she said the national benefits center takes six months to give a decision. I hope that is true

Our priority date was September 1,2017 on March 13,2018 our case was transferred to NBC for faster processing, tgere is nothing faster at all our case has been at NBC for 80 days. Anyone has experience or knows if we are getting closer to a decision. We can’t find much on visajourney that’s why I’m reaching out to find out. Our case was at Potomac and when transferred it has the same receipt number YSC.

My case was transferred from Potomac to national benefits center like yours. I just received a letter for me to come to my local field office for an initial interview after being at the national benefits center. Since your case was transferred in March you may not hear anything until September. I was told it takes them six months to process the case. When I received the transfer letter they also told me to speed up the process. Some lawyer have said when your case is transferred to national benefits center it is because they want you to come in for an interview. I have to come in for an interview so that is true for me. Anyway you may receive a decision without interview or you may have to come in for interview.

They say that they send to the NBC to speed up the processing time, but every case is different.

I can't tell you much more than that, I filed on Nov 2nd 2017 (NOA1) and I'm still waiting for my NOA2.... Nothing more you can do but wait it out I'm afraid :(
