Hm, if you said that to the CO that could have been another reason for refusal too. Childcare, even by relatives, is not permitted on a tourist visa.

Your denial reason however is immigrant intent, which means you do not show sufficient ties to home.

No, nothing about the condition of my sister was discussed. When I originally applied for visa, my sister was still a GC holder and nothing was falsified on any application or interview.

Well, this CO overruled his/her colleague to cancel the visa that was approved earlier by a colleague, right...

By law, COs have a right to cancel/restrict visas if circumstances change after a visa is issued.

A decision to cancel a visa is made by taking the interviewing colleague into confidence, so no, not an overrule.

This forum is not for providing moral advising or how to handle other situation so please stick to discussing visa issues. The problem is I already had a tourist visa. My passport expired. I simply followed all legal procedures to have my legal documented name on my new passport and then apply for a new visa as advised.

You don’t get to control the internet, unfortunately. This forum is for discussing whatever members feel is appropriate to a topic or discussion therein as long as they stick to the terms of service. Well, something in the application didn’t work for the CO. You clearly couldn’t demonstrate good ties to home, irrespective of whether your sister or whatever was discussed.  (Btw you said your sister was not discussed - surely your sister’s address was the answer to where you were going to stay?)

Exactly. Not the first time and won’t be the last that an existing visa gets cancelled or revoked.

Yes, I am not stopping you from commenting on visa related issues. With that comment, you were getting personal!

No, you accused me of something, so please show me any post where I said anything that could be construed as personal to you.
