Hi there! I am so really worried at the moment because my fiance didn't meet the 100% Poverty guidelines at all. It shows on his H and R block tax transcript that he only got $11,000 gross income. But when we calculated it adding his whole income from 2 of his jobs he got more than likely around  $20,000 dollars. But why it only shows too little on his tax transcript? He said he can prove that he literally made more than $11,000 buy providing his pay stubs and w2s from the both jobs he have.... is that possible? Or either way we need an employment letter from the 2 companies he works and state there how much he made with them plus the co- sponsors ITR and Affidavit of support (it will be his mom).

Is someone have kinda the same problem like me? But successfully approved and had a co-sponsor????

Thanks a lot.

i cant really answer about what is going on with his taxes but, yes many people have been approved with a joint sponser. even if he didnt make enough, he and his mom will both do an affidavit of support and if mom is married the spouse will do an i-864a.

Thanks though 😔 :( I'm too worried that we are not going to get approved because of this.

i am doing the cr-1 but im pretty sure its the same for k-1 as long as the cosponser makes enough! i think so that you feel better you should search here on this site others doing/have done their k-1 with a co sponsor. this site is so useful. my husband isnt here yet but we are close to the end of the process and just waiting for the interview! (L)

i just searched your concern and i found that their acceptance is on a case by case basis.. meaning maybe they will. im sorry i gave you the information without being 100% sure, is the cr-1 route possible for you? i know that the cr-1 they 100% accept a joint sponsor.

Manila hasn't request I-134, tax records or pay stubs for over 3 years now on most K1.

Even some CO conducting interviews have told the interviewee that the I-134 was never ever really needed in the past.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

That's what I heard. But I'm just going to collect those important things in case one of the C.O ask for it.

Good Plan

Co-Sponsors have always been a case by case basis in Philippines, My mother was the co sponsor on her grandson about 20 years ago in Manila.  I did a K1 in 2008 in Manila and another one in 2014 in Manila.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

if his transcript shows less than his earnings, one of two things occurred, H&R Block made a  mistake or he under-reported earnings, in either case he needs to file an amendment to correct this. this is an issue unto itself, not just an issue with the granting of the visa, it may affect SS later in life as well as expose you to penalties from the IRS for misrepresentation of tax burden
