Hey everyone

All in all i didn't get much help in my O visa journey from this site as most here are pursuing other types and thats ok.

I had my interview and approval yesterday after a long non premium processed, RFE'd application

From start to finish from filing it took about 7 months and I'm ecstatic and VERY exhausted

That said. I will keep my account active and if any future "O-chasers" stumble upon this site like i did and have a questions feel free to

send me a message

To the rest of you on your journeys...

Good luck!

Hi, Congrats:

May I have a question?

My application was just approved yesterday, may I have a question for you? Did you print another copy of your whole application package to go interview?

Thank you so much!!

not sure if too late...

however ...

my lawyer advised me to take my petition with me ...so yeah i printed almost 800 pages.... did they even glance at it?

of course not!

i have read cases where the consulate officer was looking for a reason to be a pain (London!!!) that they asked for it.

My advice..better be safe then sorry...i put my printer to work ...paper is recyclable ...if it gives you peace of mind...print that bad boy....the last thing u will be thinking about when u get that visa is the cost of printing anyway

good luck

Never heard of a case where this was necessary and it doesn't make much sense either. The consular officer is NOT the authority to determine your extraordinary ability, that is and was the USCIS. And that is what all this material was for.

He is responsibly to check your civil records, your medical exam, will mostly ask question about your finances and to make sure you will not end up becoming a public charge to the government... and if there is any major discrepancy about the case and the person in front of him. If he wants to flip through the pages he can, but mine certainly did not during my interview and acted like he hasn't even looked at it. He asked my lots of questions and kept typing into his computer and was very much interested in my income. I brought some updated material and mostly financial records, tax returns and bank statements. So if any advice to bring something, then bring those, even though I had not to hand in anything.

Otherwise leave redundant things at home, since the stress level is already through the roof during that day.

Btw, congrats on your approval. 😎
