Paying off taxes I owe

Hi. I was an international student while in the USA and I left after I completed my studies. I owe money in taxes that I wish to pay off completely in one lump sum. The issue that I am having is that I cannot find a way to pay the IRS. When I tried to do it online, they requested I enter my American cell phone number so that they can send me a code for security/verification purposes. Being that I no longer live in the United States, I cannot receive anything on my American number. Furthermore, I called the IRS a handful of times, but each time I call, I get placed on hold for an indefinite amount of time.

Is there another possible way to pay off my taxes from overseas that is less hectic? Thank you.

hi

do you have any family or friends in the US that can do that for you? you can pay them and with a check or money order, they can send the payment to the IRS

To add to aleful's suggestion, you could also ask an American friend to use their phone number, and then you skype while you log in, IRS sends them the confirmation code, and the friend gives that to you in realtime. That way you don't need to send anyone money. Not sure if it will work.

P.S. I have also been trying to get into the IRS lines, but they have indeed been busy all the time. I am at home, so I can try multiple times a day, and often it just tells me they are just too busy, and sometimes I am on hold for 2 hours (and then you suddenly get cut off). They're apparently just absurdly busy.
