Hi everyone ,

i am just a few weeks away from filing for r.o.c.  (going to be so happy to get the binders out of the house lol),

One question before i file is about a credit card in which i am an authorized user on my wifes american airlines  card. I have my own card with the same number as my wifes card . My question is i have the cards photocopied side by side with our names on it and the letter they came with( addressed to us both)  but do i need to include  any monthly statements from the time the cards started even tho my name is not on the statements...

Also a question (i know a little earlier but i hope someone out there knows) moving forward in regards to the citzenship evidence..... I currently have everything from the r.o.c. binders done in duplicate for the citizenship folders- my question is after filing next month for r.o.c. do i need to still print every page of every joint bank account up until the time i get the citizenship interview or just bank account statements etc form the time i file for citizenship until the citizenship interview....

Also i know you can file for citizenship online - does this mean uploading things like every page of things like bank statements?????

Many thanks in advance for any answers to any of my questions,

phil

Phil,

Do include statements from the joint credit Card even if your name is not on the card, IF you use that card regularly.

For citizenship, upload quarterly statements since you came to the US, but take your notebooks with all statements with you to the interview.  When you apply for the N-400 online, it will give you a mandatory list of things to upload, but you can also supplement that list with anything you want to add.

I didn't include statements or the letter that came with the cards. We photocopied four his/her cards side by side on one piece of paper. I covered the middle numbers with some white tape showing only

1234---------5678 for security purposes. Don't copy the back.

For my ROC, I sent four bank statements ..first together at new town, two middle-ish, latest before filing. And furthermore only the first page that showed both names, account number and beginning and ending balance. The balances varied by thousands and were significant enough that I felt it looked like we really used the account and didn't just park $200 somewhere for show. There was another account  that we showed paper from when I was added to her account and then closing papers eventually after we moved. Plus a variety of other evidence of course. I am one of those who does not believe in every single bank statement for two years.  What's the point really?

For citizenship a year later I sent the same main checking account but only the latest statement before filing. Citizenship wasn't a whole lot of stuff like the ROC.
