AOS interview successful, but waiting for FBI name check

Yes we have had an infopass and they confirmed they have our correct address. They also confirmed the hold up is with the FBI not them. What a great scam, each one can blame the other.

I did have the slightest glimmer that *maybe* the emails meant they were doing something and about to approve us but i am not going to think it too loudly for fear of feeling dumb when i am still here waiting this time next year.

OUR TIMELINE....

March 20th 2004 posted I-129f to VSC

March 22nd 2004 NOA1

May 26th 2004 recieved RFE via email

June 4th 2004 recieved RFE in post (photos were not dated, boarding pass had no year on it. oops!)

June 14th 2004 posted response to RFE

June 22nd 2004 VSC recieved response to RFE (dated 18/06/04)

JULY 1st 2004...101 days and STILL counting!!

July 7th 2004 WE ARE APPROVED!!

July 10th 2004NOA2 in post.

July 14th 2004 File sent from NVC to London.

July 28th 2004 Packet 3 recieved

August 12th 2004 sent packet 3 back.

November 1st 2004 Interview date.... APPROVED.

March 8th 2005 Arrive via Bos. Finally see my man again.

May 14th 2005 Our wedding day

June 10th 2005 sent in AOS forms.

August 16th 2005 Biometrics

Sept 6th 2005 Interview - went well....i think.

Nov 7th 2006 STILL awaiting FBI name check!!!!!!!! no green card, no touches, nothing. Getting a bit fed up with being in Limbo land. :0(

January 2007 wrote to senator, who in turn contacted FBI. Yes we are STILL in name check, they got our name in June 2005!!!

February 27th 2007 3 emails all saying the same thing. Fingerprinting processing is completed.

March 20th 2007 Have written to Michael Cannon head of FBI namecheck. Mentioned i am no longer amused :0(

April 28th 2007 Recieved letter asking me to go for third set of fingerprints!

April 29th 2007 Sent a letter to query the need for 3rd set of prints.

May 2nd 2007 USCIS replied - do NOT need a third set after all - go figure

well thats good news... and any change in status is welcome to those waiting a long time. i guess you will see soon if this *touch* produces anything.

I am sorry you have waited so long, hopefully you will receive the 10 year greencard by the time yours is cleared.

I guess its nice to get a touch, if you can call it that but i have so little faith in it being anything exciting that i wont even seriously entertain the idea until i see it in my paw.

To be honest i am SO frustrated that i use profanity at the pc screen on a regular basis each time i pointlessly check the uscis website. ( To the point where even the pc screen blushes sometimes and i have to aploogize to it and cover its speakers. :blush:)

Anyone else having a hard time logging into the USCIS page to check on touches? I've been trying all weekend but the page doesn't seem to format properly and there are no login boxes with which to access the case files. I even tried again this morning with the same results.

I know it hasn't been very long wait for me, but still....

Our online status still says our interview has been cancelled (or descheduled)... so I don't anticipate it changing even if we get completed. I never was a "checker" anyway, even throughout my K1 process.

who ever said "no news is good news" has never dealt with our immigration dept. before.

I finally got an email back from CSC saying that we are waiting on FBI namecheck and, like has been said before, there is nothing they can do to speed this up. At least someone finally talked to me!

I finally got an email back from CSC saying that we are waiting on FBI namecheck and, like has been said before, there is nothing they can do to speed this up. At least someone finally talked to me!

18th September 06 - Case (AOS) transfered to CSC on 9/14 (advised by mail)

4/6/10th October 06 - EAD touched!

11th October 06 - Email from USCIS - EAD Approved on 10/10! Card on the way!

16th October 06 - EAD card received!

16th October 06 - EAD Application email received confirming letter to be sent.

22nd February 07 - Email sent to USCIS requesting an update.

5th March 07 - Case touched! AOS is now "pending" at the CSC! Progress!

5th March 07 - Email from CSC confirming I am awaiting the results of the FBI name check.

27th April 07 - Email received. A notice requesting additional info has been mailed.

4th May 07 - RFE letter arrived.

21st May 07 - RFE docs returned to USCIS by mail.

6th June 07 - Email from CRIS saying RFE received and case processing has resumed!

26th June 07 - Phone call from a USCIS officer at the CSC in California asking for a copy of my I-94 by fax.

27th June 07 - InfoPass appointment at 745am.

12th August 07 - Email from CRIS - Green Card on order as of 8/11!

15th August 07 - Email from CRIS - Welcome Notice sent.

18th August 07 - Welcome Notice Received.

20th August 07 - GC received!
