09/27/05: Posted I-129F to VSC

09/30/05: Received NOA1 from VSC

10/08/05: NVC receives I-129F from VSC

11/28/05: Medical completed in Dakar

11/30/05: Interview completed in Dakar

12/01/05: Received visa in Dakar

12/22/05: Arrived in the U.S. via JFK & received temp. EAD

12/28/05: Applied for SSN

12/29/05: Applied for marriage licence

01/07/06: Got married!

01/17/06: Received SSN (still waiting for actual card)

01/18/06: Started new job

01/18/06: Applied for Maine state ID

01/26/06: Sent EAD, AOS and AP applications to Chicago lockbox

01/28/06: Received Maine state ID

02/04/06: Received NOA1 for AOS and AP, sent in wrong check for EAD :(

02/06/06: Resent EAD to Chicago lockbox

02/14/06: Received NOA1 for EAD

02/15/06: Received biometrics appointment date

I just received an email from USCIS saying that a welcome letter was mailed for our case!!! I'm so happy!!! :D

12/21/04 - NOA1 - CSC

10/27/05 - Approved!!! NOA2 online

11/04/05 - NVC received our case from CSC

11/09/05 - NVC Forwarded our case to Rio de Janeiro - here we go!!

11/14/05 - Consulate received the case!

11/29/05 - Medical - done!

12/09/05 - Sent Packet 3 to the Consulate (never received mine in the mail!!)

12/16/05 - Received interview date by email!! : )

12/20/05 - Received packet 4 in the mail!!

01/13/06 - Interview date!!! APPROVED!!

01/21/06 - Arrived in the US

02/17/06 - Got married : ))

03/06 - Applied for SSN and received it (less then 15 days)

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

Congrats to the latest people out of name check, that is GREAT! :dance:

I have been obsessively checking my case on the USCIS website and it has not even been "touched" since a few days before the interview. Shouldn't there have at least been an update saying that I had an interview or am pending a namecheck or something? Just adds to the "black hole" feeling.

no word from senator, congressman.

Estella - our online status still states INTERVIEW CANCELLED. From what I understand from the helpline is that the local offices are not required to update the website. Some get touched, some do not.

I inquired with both, why not, right? I just sent the same letter to both. I just have a schedule to contact these guys every 90 days. IF we need to file a WOM, then I have documentation that I *exhausted administrative rememdies* :D

Touches work like this:

Received date of Nov. 17 2005 showed for ages.

Touch on Dec 28 2005.

Interview Mar 9 2006.

Touch June 22 2006.

Nothing since. As you can see there's absolutely no logic to that pattern.

Save yourself some stress and stop checking. At least obsessively. I check once a day - if I remember.
