Awww Kopa - your nearing the end! What I would do to prepare for their request would be to get local police reports from the places we lived since arrival. I am sorry you have to go through another interviewing process. I find that ridiculous. Also - you may want to update your I-864 and just have it on hand should they ask about it. Can never be too preparedand any further delays you can avoid - the better just to get past this piece!

Much luck to you - I hope soon we can see your approval!

We received a 2nd AOS interview notice today stating in big letters that the interview will be videotaped. Frustrating but glad they have not forgotten about us. They requested we bring all the original documentation again including a medical exam form I-693 do you really think they need this? Under the request for the I-693 are the words "APPEAR EVEN IF NOT COMPLETED" how confusing! What is more disturbing is they ask for original certified copy of indictment/information and judgment for any/all arrests within the US. My husband has NEVER been arrested in ths US, is it possible to get something from the government that states this? My head hurts already I can tell I will be stressing until June 12!

I've never heard of that. At your initial interview 3 years ago did they tell you that you were approved, just pending name check?

We're headed to our local office tomorrow for our infopass appointment. I'm HOPING we get good news. Ever since we recieved a reply to my phone call about the name check and it saying that had cleared within 2 months, I'm pretty irritated as to why it's not been processed yet since IO said that's all she was waiting for. Here's to a hopeful outcome for tomorrow!

FINALLY some good news! Went to our infopass appointment today at 9:45am. After a short wait they called us up to the window. She pulled our case to see what the hold up was and "said" the lady was just about to approve our case. Do I believe that? Not really, since it took her a bit to come back so she was probably looking for it on the desk. lol Either way she said the IO was approving the case today and we'd recieve the card in 2-3 weeks. When we got home I checked my email and sure enough there was the email we've been awaiting. I'm so glad we got answers but it bugs me to think how much longer we would have been waiting if we would have never made a infopass appointment. SO relieved not to have to pay for another work permit though!!

Yes we were told we were approved pending clearance of namecheck at the 1st interview... Maybe it is because our original interviewing officer is no loner in houston, who knows.

We're almost off the name check pending bus.

For those pending in the Seattle office, we had the renewal biometrics in early February and our case was finally sent to the NSC at the end of May. So it looks like they're working, just slowly.

My husband's 10 year green card arrived today. woo hoo!

I'm so glad they took into account the years of waiting and went straight to the 10 year.

I caught myself saying "Wow, that was fast," because the welcome notice only arrived on Saturday.

It took me less time to get through college than to get my husband's green card!

Lal--has yours arrived?

Isn't it funny how our perspective becomes so skewed? We call it "fast" when the green card arrives a few days after a letter... even after years of waiting. Maybe it's like mothers who say they forget the pain of birth as soon as the baby arrives. funny, funny
