About FBI clearance: I used to work at a race-track, and to get employed there (regulated by the feds) we had our fingerprints taken and a background check was submitted to the FBI. Do you think that will help when the time comes for the background check?

Well my sons name check has came back. :dance:

Got an email saying that his "Welcome to America Letter" is in the mail.

Our interview was on May 17/06.

So it took them 2 months and one week to get it cleared.

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

Over one week my i765, 485 and I130 tuched 2 times, Is it a sign for some thing or ???

FBI name check Sucks.

--Jan 13,2006 Entered USA as Visitor (B2) ( I-94 is valid till end of June,2006)

--March 28,2006 Married in Naperville ,Illinois to United States Citizen

--April 5, 2006 Medical examination (I 693)+ Vaccination supplement form completed (chicago)

--April, 18,2006 AOS Package(I 130,I 485, I765)+supporting documents sent (chicago Lock Box)(DAY 1)

--May 1, 2006 BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENTS ( I 765 , I 485) received by mail for May 6, 2006

--May 6, 2006 BIOMETRICS TAKEN BY USCIS in Naperville (Day 19)

--July 21,2006 Initial Interview but waiting for FBI NAME CLEARANCE (Day 92)

--April 25, 2009 Infopass appointment to inquire my case : Result case was approved in June of 2008 but no body bothered to update my file (Day almost 610 )

--June 29 ,2009 10 year green card with date of Perm resident June 2008 received (Day almost 680 since interview )

--July 2011 Citizenship Interview :

-- Nov 2011 Oath Ceremony -US Citizen

Well my sons name check has came back. :dance:

CONGRATS! That is great news. Another innocent sole released from "name check hell":)

Next week I call again on Carina if no word from USCIS; it will be 45 days since the referral was supposedly issued (somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 days since Carina applied for AOS and 275 days since her interview) and they said to check back in 30-45 days if no answer-heck, I am even giving them the benefit of the whole time.

What are these people doing anyway??

05/18/06: NOA 2 / I-130 approval

08/15/06: Email: 'Welcome to America' letter mailed (Day 151)!!!!

Day 429 for us, this is from the interview date, FBI actually had it 4 months before that

I-129F sent 3/25/2004

NOA #1 3/30/2004

NOA #2 7/6/2004 100 days!!!

7/30/2004 Arrived NVC

8/11/04 Ali received packet from Consular

8/24/04 Ali had interview and was approved

Had to waited 2 weeks for security check

9/15/04 Arrived POE Atlanta

9/28/04 Applied SSN

10/19/04 Recieved SS card

10/25/04 Drivers license (IN requires permit for 60 days)

10/30/04 Married

12/7/04 AOS sent

1/05 Biometrics

5/23/05 AOS interview Approved pending FBI background check

1/06 EAD- (renewed )

AP- applied online took 6 weeks to receive

(we made all the request possible, but were told they could do nothing about how long the FBI was taking)

12/06 FBI background check finished after 2 years

7/07 after 7 months Indianapolis sends request for new bio metrics (made numerous inquiries to NSC and senator)

7/17/07 Bio metrics done again

8/8/07 Received request for further proof of relationship

8/13/07 Bills, photos, letters showing proof received by Indy

9/10/2007 Finally the card production and welcome letter email received

This poor thread needs a "bump"! :thumbs:

Called USCIS again today and requested a second "referral", though based on the answer I got when I inquired about the first one they don't seem to do much good either. The lady said the referral was sent 6/15, but no that no one has touched the file at all. Sure am glad they made it a priority. :wacko::help:

Anyway, the 45 day mark from when we received the letter dated 06/26/06 from the CIS Ombudman stating they had sent their formal inquiry will be up after we return from Moldova (visiting there from 8/7 to 8/19-Carina gets to use her AP we had to file for the second time for!); so we will advise them of the status (assuming still no response) when we get back.
