Hello all, I am so so happy when I got 2 email from DHS.gov.

Receipt Number: MSC0xxxxxxxxx

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On February 26, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

We went in to the USCIS center yesterday, and the USCIS INFO Officer told us, there was a file movemnent on our case in the recent weeks. She said it is a good news, We still have to go home and wait within 120 days. This morning, we recieved 2 emails from DHS.gov. I just want to share our happy news with this group. It took us 2 visits to the USCIS center and 2 emails to our local Congressman. Can't wait to see the green card. ;)

congratulations husker and aos. im hopeing these are the real greencards and not the new policy ones they are talking about.

Donna, you cracked me up  they are the real ones LOL

Well, we don't really know for sure because the apps were approved after the policy change. Of course, we did get notices to have the fingerprints retaken before the memo became public, but I'm not sure we have a way to know if the checks cleared or if languishing applications were starting to be processed in anticipation of the change. I think what Donna is worried about is getting hung up in name check again for the naturalization. I guess we just have to try to think positively!

I will contact my friend's sister, who works for ICE, and run it by her. She doesn't work for USCIS anymore, but she still has contacts there and may be able to find out how this works.

I hope that everyone will have good news soon.

I have little questions: How can I know if my name ckeck is pending? Another way aside to call FBI??

If everything was OK with the name check, how long will the approval take after being transfered to CSC?

Thank you

congrats that is great news!!!!

we were just told that the march 10 regulation doesn't apply to us since we haven't had an interview. I'm inclined to think the guy doesn't know much and that he's wrong. Nevertheless it is pretty demoralizing. :(

I-485 , I-765, I-130: NOA1 : 1/23/2006

Biometrics 2/23/2006

Temporary EAD given for 1 month ONLY b/c of Infopass appt: 5/1/2006

Went back to renew EAD through Infopass: EAD card was not given "due to reasons we can't disclose"

5/3/2007: Confirmation that EAD is delayed due to background checks. (started to use the senator, ombudsman and was just a royal pain in the neck)

5/30/2007: EAD production ordered (after over 400 days of waiting!!! woo hoo!)

AOS Interview: 5/12/2008!!! FINALLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7/29/2008: card production ordered...918 days..can't wait to see that card!
