my interview was in May/05,still waiting for FBI check.congressman is involved no result yet. I want to know if something els I can do about it?

11/12/02---------I-130,I-129F sent to VERMONT and Chicago

02/8/03----------Vermont asked for receipt notice of I-130

04/02/03---------I-129F got approved

05/12/03--------package#3 received

07/12/03-------- K3 visa interview, visa issued the same date

08/01/03--------Arriving usa

09/26/03--------I-130 approved

11/24/03--------I-485 submitted in DC office

05/02/04--------applying for work permit

04/28/04-------EAD recieved

04/28/04-------applying for SSN

05/16/04-------ss card recieved

05/24/05-------AOS interview

Waiting for FBI check

Oct/06 third EAD

June/2008 Permanent Greencard received in mail.

06/16/2011 NOA of N-400 application received.

07/29/2011 Fingerprint

11/01/2011 Citizenship interview-Not approved

12/14/2011 Citizenship re-interview-Not approved

You've contacted a congressman which is great, but I have also contacted my Senator, the First Lady and will soon contact the DHS Ombudsman. This way, you are certain that your case is being kept familiar to those that matter.

Niki,

Not to sound crass. but did you read through this thread? There really isn't much you can do while in this process, however a few suggestions have been made (none of which may lead to the receipt of greencard/approval). Just to pick a few : contact congressman/senator, contact adjudicating officer, contacting USCIS if the processing date of your local office is past 30 days, filing a WOM.

hey guys...happy monday.

just a quick update on us...anthony got a letter last week telling him that he needs to report on wednesday for biometrics (again!). it had code 2 hand written at the top of the page..which i understand is an index fingerprint, a signature, and a photo...presumably for the green card?

still no word if we're through name-check or not...but i'm hoping that maybe our stay will somehow be short, and that this letter and biometrics appointment is a good sign!

In my opinion it is always a good sign when anything is done to your case, that way at least you know it is not "stuck" somewhere. All the best of luck in getting a speedy approval!!

In fact, my AOS was touched yesterday, 07/16/06...both the I-485 and

I-130 (which was approved in May). So I am really hoping that it is a sign of very good things to come!!!

--Jan 13,2006 Entered USA as Visitor (B2) ( I-94 is valid till end of June,2006)

--March 28,2006 Married in Naperville ,Illinois to United States Citizen

--April 5, 2006 Medical examination (I 693)+ Vaccination supplement form completed (chicago)

--April, 18,2006 AOS Package(I 130,I 485, I765)+supporting documents sent (chicago Lock Box)(DAY 1)

--May 1, 2006 BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENTS ( I 765 , I 485) received by mail for May 6, 2006

--May 6, 2006 BIOMETRICS TAKEN BY USCIS in Naperville (Day 19)

--July 21,2006 Initial Interview but waiting for FBI NAME CLEARANCE (Day 92)

--April 25, 2009 Infopass appointment to inquire my case : Result case was approved in June of 2008 but no body bothered to update my file (Day almost 610 )

--June 29 ,2009 10 year green card with date of Perm resident June 2008 received (Day almost 680 since interview )

--July 2011 Citizenship Interview :

-- Nov 2011 Oath Ceremony -US Citizen
