Well I went down to the local Phoenix office today to find out why I was sent a fingerprint notice to my old address. I think I basically just wasted my time. The immigration officer told me my address in the system is my current address. I asked why there was a letter sent to the old address..he first said that Missouri sent out the letter and I need to call the 1800 number. i told him the 1800 number would not disclose my address over the phone. He then asked if I filed an AR11 to which I said yes. I told him the letter was addressed by the local office. He said there is nothing he could do.

I explained that if I hadn't thankfully received this letter my application would have been denied. His response was to just file to reopen the case if that was to happen. What a putz.

Why can't they just do their job. If I make a mistake, I am punished. If they make a mistake, I am punished. Where is the accountability.

Husker, I didn't know you were in Phoenix.

There are some surly functionaries in the Phoenix office for sure.

I take it no new developments re: fingerprints and whatnot?

I submitted our change of address. I actually did not just submit the AR-11 and I-865, but also put a coverpage on those forms indicating there is an OPEN & PENDING CASE - please transfer, wrote letters to our former local office (Tampa) and new local office (Kansas City) and the congressman as well. I want to ENSURE those morons transfer our pending AOS case. I even attached a copy of the NOA.

If after all this they still cannot get it right, I will be left completely dumbfounded.

Oh and we still haven't filed for the AP renewal. That is left plainly on huster's shoulders (after I put together the whole package - all he needs to do is sign & provide his last date parolled into the country).

I also worry becasue there seem to be quite a few people from Canada who have been stuck in namecheck it seems. I wonder why that is..........

Same reason many from the UK get stuck. English names similar to most of the names in the FBI databases.

Hi, Slavrina

It seems that a few people in this thread have received notices recently to have their fingerprints redone, including my husband. His EAD biometrics appointment is this Friday, so he's going to see if they'll let him redo the fingerprints at the same appointment (otherwise he'll have to return the following week, which seems silly).

Has anyone who has had fingerprints redone received good news recently?

And happy new year!
