Last night was our first call for the flower campaign. Thanks to everyone who joined!

We drew from the discussion we would like a bit more time to work on the date as other groups are rallying and we do not want the message to be lost.

The message, to clarify, is that long security check delays are first and foremost a security risk. These checks should be quickly resolved simply for the benefit of security. The delays are also unfair to immigrants. The DHS does acknowledge the issue, which only helps the cause.

It is important to note that the audience is NOT the FBI, but the nation through media. We have much motivation and support and want to take this first step in building awareness for this issue.

Our next call will be September 26th to finalize the date, and to fine tune the procedure. :D

Has anyone on this Board ever received their GC without any updates in the USCIS System? It would be interesting to know.

LaL, please keep us updated on the date of when to send flowers and which is the best places to order from.

I luckily didn't get caught in security checks but I'd still like to contribute to the campaign by sending flowers as well.

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO

ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On September 10, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this

customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on

the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60

days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing

referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before

you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic

e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to

register.

This was emailed this morning, does anyone know if the same wording is used for conditional permanent as it is for the 10 year card? We are just happy to have this done, but are curious whether it will be the 2 year or the 10 year. Also was is ADIT processing?

Oh gosh! I had missed this! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONGRATULATIONS!

I don't know about the wording being different for a conditional card v. 10 year. But it shouldn't be long before you have the card in hand - for my husband it was less than 2 weeks.

I think if there were additional processing, it would have been mentioned in the notice. If you read it carefully it says

"ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice".

A quick question, please pardon my ignorance, when the interviewer says that he/she will approve your I-130 but name check is pending for I-485, how quickly does the status change for the I-130 online? I am just curious because I noticed that it didn't change by the end of the interview day itself.

Does one wait for days, weeks or months to the new approved status?

Does the I-130 status change once the name check clears? Or before that?

Also is there a number one could call to check on the FBI name check status?

Thank you for your help, guys. All the best to everyone.
