AOS interview successful, but waiting for FBI name check

I am not really sure when the name checks are ordered because after waiting 3 months for his EAD renewal we made an info pass apt. and while there we asked if his green card was any where in site and they told us....nope still waiting on fbi checks. we said shouldnt those be done yet...its been a year since they took the biometrics and they said they werent ordered until 2 days after our interview. #######????

Well, I've spoken to the VJ resident security clearance expert (Wench) and she indicates to me that the FBI doesn't need the bios to begin a name check.

So round and round we go with speculating this ....

Yes, please add my details too. I had my biometrics 8/16/05 and my interview 10/24/05. We were RFE'd at the interview and sent in some additional information a week later. I have since been told that we are pending backgound checks. I wonder if they only sent our info to the FBI once they'd reviewed our additional information -- which could have been months after we sent in the info.

We had an interview in May 2005 since than our case was transfered to California in March. WE GOT a RFE in April. Since april no news at all. Do NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. Visa K3

why not make an infopass appointment? I have to assume you responded to the RFE, and are awaiting the letter stating they received the additional paperwork.

Just a suggestion, you may consider starting a thread on this, as this is a name check tracking thread.
