Hi all,

I am starting to wonder now that my 2 year GC is almost expired (end of May).

I sent my I-751 to VSC on Feb. 27th

I received the one year extension letter on March 17th ... but I see that it takes about 6 moths to receive the new GC for most people.

My question is: is that OK for me to keep my old GC and the one year extension letter to prove that i can work?

Should I get the I-551 stamp if I don't plan to travel?

If yes, should i get it before my 2 year GC expires or after?

Thanks for any kind of help, I am a little confused :)

The expired card and extension letter are all that are needed to work and travel. The extension letter is good for 1 year, you should have 10 year card or interview by then.
