You know, a lot of people really, really hate Paris Hilton, and I don't think that's any less weird than people who really, really love any other celebrity. But since she's probably aware of that, I think if she'd served her full sentence, she would have been redeemed in the eyes of most American celeb-watchers. Look how America embraced Martha Stewart after her time in the clink. I think she made a big PR mistake by not sticking it out.

You're probably right, people may not have liked her but they would have thought a little more of her because of it. Maybe. :P

I would not have more esteem for her than I had before she went to prison, but now I have less esteem for her now that she has whined her way out. I did not think it was possible for me to have less esteem than zero for someone, but there you go.

Paris Hilton is pathetic.

Well, I DID add a "maybe". :D Personally? I couldn't give a stuff about her but I DO get right royally peed off when people manage to get out of their punishment just because they have some money, fame or some leverage with someone higher up the ladder.

She crumbled under the pression of prison? Whaaa? She had a cell for herself, she had one hour leave for shower, watching TV and talking on the phone. She was held in the special cell in the police station. She probably never saw another criminal, not even a shoplifter.

Now she goes to her mansion to serve the rest of the sentence locked in her house? How sad for her, I guess she'll just have too much trouble figuring out themes for all the parties she'll be having while she can't herself to go other people's parties.

It just annoys me that even though she's rich, it's as if she's above the law. She broke the law and should have to serve her sentence just anyone else.

October 31, 2016 I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

November 4, 2016 Received text case sent to Nebraska

November 10, 2016 Received Hard copy of NOA1

she may be pathetic, but she is hanging around her mansion today..i doubt if, a regular joe/jane get this type of treatment

Of course they don't. It's kind of funny that even Martha Stewart was tougher than Paris Hilton, and she got a longer sentence for "lying" about something that she wasn't even convicted of. Paris Hilton actually put people in DANGER and she's out after three days. That's bullsh!t.

Its really ironic - when you consider that Robert Downey Junior got put through the ringer for much the same thing.

I have a co worker who got put through the ringer for the same arrests, but I think in actuality his offenses were less. Paris actually caused property damage (I think). He just got caught when they pulled him over for speeding.

Maybe he should have just said the pressure of jail was getting to him.

ha, i've been steaming about this all day and I just saw there's a thread here devoted to the very topic!

While I think Paris Hilton is the most disgusting person on the planet (what does she actually DO anyway? Can we please stop rewarding people for being stupid and useles??) what's more disgusting is the complete lack of fairness in California's judicial system. This clearly is a case of privilege winning out over justice. If I were in California, i'd go on an all out crime spree because the law means nothing. And when they threw me in prison forever (because i'm not rich enough for my "psychological problems" to get me out of prison) I'd start a prison riot because the law means nothing. LA's legal system has just lost all credibility.

My K-1 Timeline:

02/08/2007: Engaged on top of Table Mountain!

03/27/2007: Sent I129f to NSC

04/04/2007: NOA1 (from CSC)

07/09/2007: Paper NOA2 in the mail

09/20/2007: Successful Interview!!!

09/27/2007: Visa in hand

He was mainly a danger to himself, though. He's also incredibly talented...something we cannot say for Paris Hilton.
