Hi,

She came here on a k1 visa?

You have to get married first to apply for aos and ead.

You can look up the processing times based on your state for aos on the uscis website. Google processing times.

Ead is taking average 4 to 5 months right now.

Apply for advance parole aswell!

Do not wait for the green card

You should apply for the EAD/AP at the same time as AOS.  Average time from filing to EAD is a little more than 100 days on average.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I recommend still looking up your own state on the uscis website because if the average was 7 months I would be very happy as my office is 11.5 to 32 months so this chart may not help everyone. :)

Average EAD is about 4-6 months.  Average AOS is about 1 year.  She will not be working anytime soon.

yes you have nothing to lose.. if you apply for AOS AP AND EAD at the same time you save money. you only pay for the AOS and biometrics fee (total 1225)

Good luck!

Are you sure ? I read the fee waiver applications on USCIS website , K1 AOS is not one of them. Would you mind show me where to find  that info?

See page 16 of the I-485 instructions. It's not a fee waiver (that's separate).

You can file the I-131 + I-765 at the same time as the I-485, or you can send them later and include a copy of the I-485's NOA1 in lieu of payment.
