Hello everyone

I'm a noob and maybe a #######, lol but still getting to know this site. I was wondering if anyone had experience with online shopping to send gifts to the Philippines. My girlfriend has a birthday coming up in a month and i think it would be easy to buy her something and have it delivered. She lives in the providence. Close to Naga City. We've been talking for a year now and I think slow and steady is the way to go with these things. I hope to visit her next year but that's another story lol. If anyone have any advice or experience I will gladly appreciate it. I am not trying to get scammed so thats why I asking people who done this before. The gifts can be flowers or candy like that. Nothing major. Hope to see everyone around here. Bye.

Thanks.

Naga City?  Well I have been to Naga City in the Bicol Region and there is also a Naga City near Cebu I have traveled thru.

I suspect there are a few more Naga cities in the Philippines.

Seems like flowers and candy is a rip off, In fact I know flowers are a rip off anywhere in the world.

I always find cash to be best, easy to send and let them pick out what they like.

Birthdays in Philippines the person whom is celebrating it gets to buy all the food and treat their guest, I would suspect your friend would be very happy being able to have a nice get together with her family/and or friends and celebrate her birthday with a nice spread of food and drinks.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Since it's her birthday, you could probably order for a cake or food (for family gatherings and parties) from any of these Philippine restaurants: Goldilocks, Shakey's Pizza, Greenwich Pizza, Red Ribbon, Jollibee, Max's, McDonald's, KFC,  among others. Most of these restaurants/food chains do accept pre-payment using a credit card. It all depends on which particular city or area your girlfriend lives. Some of these food chains have limited number of branches in the provinces. You need to have her complete address including the 'barangay,' and her contact number, preferably her mobile number, for delivery purposes.

I have placed orders through Goldilock's Philippines for birthdays; I believe it is a Filipino custom for the celebrant to treat friends and family during birthdays so sending food via Goldilock's is really efficient. Just make sure you inform your girlfriend on the exact date and time of delivery.

If you want to buy a gift use LAZADA.   For other things I go with the suggestion of ordering a Red Ribbon or Goldilocks cake, or two

I would try to visit sooner then later...the slow and steady is good but not if you still haven't met her in person. I personally think it's good to visit right away...and then see how it goes after that.

I'm pretty sure you can order flowers online and have them delivered to her location (unless she really is in a remote province). Or contact a friend or relative to pick something up for her.

I agree, get over and see if you have Chemistry.

Years ago I chatted a cute and nice girl from Davao area, We hit it off,  I was chatting to about a dozen girls and we seemed to make the connection.

Long story short, I flew there met her at airport and I just didn't feel it.  I spent almost 3 weeks with her, I stayed at her home at her family house hoping we could connect like we did over Skype.   Finally after week 3 I had to pack my things and go to a hotel, I had a couple girls on back up and then called them in. I was able to save the trip.
