Hank, I have something interesting to say here. Someone mentioned that my stepdaughter, still single, possibly not immigrate because she has a minor child a guy fathered the child I'm calling sperm donor whatever. I believe that my stepdaughter is eligible to immigrate but not the minor child I already know and read about that information awhile ago. Am I correct? And know the system been the same policy with USCIS lol

Your stepdaughter can immigrate, no issue there.      But at this moment the child is not eligible ... late once the stepdaughter is an LPR, and of age (which she may be already - not sure), different story.

2. If you are a lawful permanent resident of the United States, you must file a separate Form I-130 for each eligible relative. You may file Form I-130 for: A. Your spouse; B. Your unmarried child under 21 years of age; and C. Your unmarried son or daughter 21 years of age or older.

AH!  Your case file is at NVC!!  Wonderful!!    Yes, do contact USCIS about starting her petition (bring copy of the NOA2 Approval Notice from USICS for your wife ), maybe get both interviews together .. now wouldn't that be cool!

Do take note that your wife's interview date can be rescheduled once the case file is at the embassy.

Hank,

My wife got the interview dated for June 27th so now I'm trying to think hard about my stepdaughter via DCF. I just don't want the embassy to mess up with AOS because for the household of 4 ( me and 2 dual citizen boys and the only intending immigrant, spouse ) at the first place in the States not yet to approve. I'm going to file another AOS via DCF for the household of 5 ( me, my spouse, 2 boys and the only intending immigrant for stepdaughter ) and of course process I-130 the same. I know how to file everything except the time frame to avoid the problem. Again, I assume it wont hurt to go to the embassy for the advice. Isn't that correct? Thanks!

Doubt they will give you advice, just recite the process to follow.

Most that complete the DCF process are done in under 60 days, some in only 30 days.   Do take note that you are in control of the interview dates and there is also up to 6 months (from date of medical) to actually enter the USA if one finishes earlier.
