Hello everyone,

Does anyone recently had his/her oath ceremony in Irving, TX office? if so, what time was the ceremony? i heard both 12:30 and 2:00 but are they accurate time? also what was the time frame from interview to oath ceremony? my parent is having his interview 4 weeks before his flight to Europe for my wedding. My questions is, can he request an expedited time for his oath ceremony given the situation so he can get passport in time? is same day oath ceremony possible give his interview is at 12:15pm? Please help out.

Thank you in advance

When its comes to USCIS, you can never predict when. To be on safe side unless you see the physical oath ceremony letter had date and time on it, Do not schedule any sort of event. Its kinda hit or miss, perhaps mostly a miss.

Thank you, unfortunately i've arranged the wedding already and he has bought his ticket along my other family member. Hotels have been booked and paid as well. Would talking to the officers and mention the situation help expediting to get oath ceremony within 3 weeks after interview?

No problem, your parent can travel to attend your wedding anyway. If he got his oath he will travel as an American citizen. If the time of his trip comes before his oath he can travel with his non-US passport beside his valid green card. So he won't be a US Citizen before his oath ceremony, then he can travel as a green card holder.

But be sure that he reschedule his oath ceremony appointment before its time if its time comes within his trip.

Good luck.

Doesn't hurt to try.

By the way it took my passport 16 days to arrive via mail. That was regular, I didn't expedite it. They said it would take 6 weeks.

Did your parent apply for a legal name change?

Oh great! Good to know there is no need to expedite.
