Automatic!

Driving is supposed to be FUN, and driving a stick feels like WORK -- shifting up and

down instead of enjoying the ride, not to mention stupid little problems such as coming

to a stop on a hill while trying to keep the car from stalling or rolling backwards.

Hi I thought this would be interesting, I was always used to using a stick until I lived in the USA, my husband has an Automatic. One day I went to work and parked in a parking space, I could not get the keys out of the car ignition, I started to panic, I sat there nearly in tears wondering if I should phone the AAA for assistance, well this fella parked next to me and I plucked up the courage to ask him if he know anything about cars, he looked in the car and said " mam it helps if you put the thing in park" I could of died, right there and then I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me, so I much prefer to use a stick.

i used to drive a stick in the Phils., was so scared to drive an automatic, i told my husband not to get me an automatic. So he got me a stick b4 I came to US. For me, a stick is so challenging for a lady driver.

The car doesnt work good on snow, (im scared to drive on snow either), first time! so I told him to get a better one for snow, then we got the automatic.

Same thing happened to me! I didnt want to be late for work, I stopped in the parking lot 5 minutes before the time, i couldnt get the keys out of the ignition. I pressed everything on the remote keys, it was still dark so the car got panicked and alarmed, beep! beep! beep!!..i caiught peoples' attention. I called my husband and explained to me what to do, he didnt know either what was the reason. ( the car was a new one) I was touching this and that, trying this and that in the car while talking to him. He was not a help to me!!..lol, til I figured out that it was not in park. "THAT'S WHY I DIDNT LIKE AUTOMATIC"

There was a time, my step son's car couldnt get out of the snow in the driveway, he was so late for work. He wanted me to drive his car so he could help it push, i said no, i said i havent driven an automatic, i tried but i was really scared so the snow got deeper and deeper til we couldnt make it anymore. He was so mad.

But now, getting used with automatic and I'm loving it. I didnt think that it is so "GRAVY!!"
